Intellectual Property Rights Award to Pune based Rubiscape for its Data Science Platform at CII’s 7th International Conference on IPR.

Delhi, 27th November 2021: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) hosted a 7th International Conference on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), for its contributions in the field of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) that witnessed some outstanding innovations from the diverse fields by the large enterprises as well as start-ups from all over the country. A Pune based technology product start-up – Rubiscape was recognised with a Special Appreciation Award for its innovative platform for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

 

Addressing in keynote Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, former Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and the Chair of the eminent jury for the AII-IP Awards 2021 said, “India wants to be at the forefront as a leading innovation nation and IP plays a a critical role in innovation management, from idea to impact and mind to market. Innovation is an enabler of academia and industry as a connect between The Saraswati and The Laxmi.” He further added, “I am proud to see some outstanding innovators working closely with Academia, Industry and the Government as eco-system towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative”

The Conference was organised by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in joint co-operation with World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and Intellectual Property (IP) India. Theme of the Conference was ‘Maximization of IPR for Growth and Development’. IP issues would be crucial in key domains like Industry 4.0, Smart manufacturing, and emergence of India as an alternate supply chain destination.

 

Dr Daren Tang Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) said, “IPR is set to be a predominant driver for growth of trade, technology, science along with the overall economy of India and partners like CII have an important role to play in promoting Indian start-ups, entrepreneurs and industry on how they can use their ideas to the market”.

CII Industrial Intellectual Property Awards aim at recognition and celebration of enterprises which have embraced IP generation and protection to fuel their business and economic growth. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been working towards strengthening the Intellectual Property (IP) eco-system in the country.
